planning

i'm the planner, andy's the action man. i've been buying route maps, travel guides, overlanding books, off-road driving manuals, land rover magazines, watching sas 'are you tough enough?' and now reckon that between us we have a pretty good idea of what's required. we've probably read too much but better to know too much than too little! we found the africa-overland.net web site to be a good source of info as well as our friends who all have had the same piece of advice - don't forget to tie the sand ladders to the land rover (a ray mears tip that seems to have sunk into everyone's subconscious).
